Scooter was a beagle mix who was found on the side of the road, starving, sore-infested, and missing a paw. Scooter was treated for an ear infection and a hernia and was fitted with a customized artificial paw. The Humane Society of Chittenden County then found Scooter a loving home. In honor of Scooter, this fund was established in 1994.
The Scooter Fund provides a second chance for those animals too sick or injured to be adopted. Your donation to the Annual Fund helps keep the Scooter Fund robust and allows HSCC to pay for veterinary costs for animals with special needs waiting for adoption.
