There are lots of ways for young animal-lovers to get involved with HSCC's mission! See below for a list of ways for kids aged 5-15 can help our pets and learn more about animal welfare.
Ways to Help HSCC's Pets:
+ Organize a food drive to collect donations of supplies for HSCC animals (at school, in your neighborhood, or even a birthday party). Click here to view our wish list!
+ Start a pet toy drive
+ Host a bake sale, lemonade stand, or hot chocolate stand and donate the proceeds to HSCC
+ DIY/At-Home Crafts:
- Homemade Cat Toys such as pom pom wands
- Homemade Dog Toys such as snuffle mats
- Adoptable Animal Art
- Thank You Notes for HSCC volunteers & adopters
Donations can be dropped off in our lobby during our open Adoption Center hours so we can thank you in person!
Note to parents: We love sharing when our community's kids come together to support HSCC! When your kid(s) visit to drop off their donations, we may ask for your permission to take a photo so we can thank them publicly on HSCC's social media (optional).

HSCC's Humane Education Programs aim to cultivate positive relationships between humans and animals by teaching our youth about animals through the lens of empathy, kindness, and understanding. Click here to learn more about our current humane education programs and offerings.
